With such a variety of fresh fruits available in this time of year it would be a great loss not to take advantage of them, don't you agree? Fresh fruits go wonderful in a tasty fruit salad mixed with syrup or fluffy whipped cream or some ice cream of your choice and to make one you don't need some particular fruits...it's enough to pull out all the fruits you have in your fridge, to slice them and put them together into a large bowl. That's what I did today and let me tell you girls...the result was amazing! I was lucky to find in my fridge all my favorite
fruits: melon, pineapple, peaches, oranges, bananas, strawberries, berries and cherries. I had to peal a couple of them and I to slice most of them but it was so easy and I had so much fun while doing it! Once the fruits were prepared, I started making a delicious caramel sauce, the one used to load the fruits with. So, for this one I used: sugar, water, vanilla, lemongrass and lime juice. In 2 minutes I had the caramel sauce ready, but I had to wait about 10 for it to cool off =)! And here comes the best part of my 'Fruit Salad' recipe: once everything prepared I
started to layer the fruits with my caramel sauce in a large bowl: one layer of melon, a few leaves of mint, another layer of oranges, some bits of caramel sauce and so on! I decided to add two scoops of vanilla ice cream on top, some bits of honey, too and I used to cherries to decorate the ice cream with! Mouth-watering!
